INFORMATION: In the Pyramid Texts Ipy appears occasionally as a benevolent guardian and wet nurse to the king. She is also perceived to exert a benign influence on amulets. Depicted as a hippopotamus or anthropomorphically with a hippo's head. Also Ipet.
